This day in London
4 October 1936, ninety years ago today. Tens of thousands of East Londoners block Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists from marching down Cable Street.
Trivia
The River Fleet still runs under Farringdon Road, buried since the nineteenth century.
Sport
West Ham Women host Chelsea Women in Dagenham this afternoon at 2pm, live on Sky Sports. West Ham play QPR at the London Stadium on Friday the 9th at 8pm. Saturday the 10th has Arsenal v Leeds at 12.30pm at the Emirates, then Chelsea v Bournemouth at 3pm at Stamford Bridge.
I love walking in London. Really it's better than walking in the country.
Right, back to the unpacking. See you next Sunday.
